The Sounds of Space: A sonic adventure to other worlds
A collaboration with the podcast Twenty Thousand Hertz:
Soundtrack: | Space is more than just a feast for the eyes. It’s a feast for the ears. You just have to know where -- and when -- to look.

Floating in the silent void of space are trillions of islands of sound, each with their own sonic flavor -- some eerily familiar, some wildly different than Earth’s. And even space itself was once brimming with sound.

This short film takes you on a journey back in time and to the edge of our solar system and beyond, to discover what other worlds of sound are lurking beyond Earth's atmosphere. You won't believe your ears :)

@FractaLens and by the background cosmic rays they can catch still can probably be adapted into an estimate of sound as it was.

    • Stephen LaPointe
      Stephen LaPointe

@FractaLens Because as he said the universe was at first full of plasma. It all became taken in by planets, stars, and helped firm them a d gravity pulled everything in and the space between was then and is a vacuum.

    • Stephen LaPointe
      Stephen LaPointe

@Baguette Seriously......There are a bunch of planets and he is saying to as in going to many different worlds. You should know if he was so intelligent as to create this combo of videos that perhaps you should double check your own understanding of his title first. 😂

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. Romans 1:20-22 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new! “Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21:1-5

  • EvoxProductions

The sound tracks are epic, but it did interfere with the real rocorded sounds or the sounds pretended to be there. You should've just shut the music at those moments to let us hear exatcly what we wanna hear :) But anyway, this short film is amazing.

It’s baffling to me that in a video about recreating space sounds, the music, while beautiful, is the predominant track. Did no one question this choice during production??

3:00 but also, if it was that constant sound from the sun, our ears would never evolve to register it as loudly as it really is. Our brains would evolve to cancel it out, or we'd simply not evolve much hearing at all. This is something to keep in mind also, when discussing hypotheticals. A creature wouldnt evolve to have senses that deafen / blind it perpetually.
